Mathew 3.11-12 (Darby translation)
11*I* indeed baptize you with water to repentance, but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not fit to bear; *he* shall baptize you with [the] Holy Spirit and fire;
12whose winnowing fan [is] in his hand, and he shall thoroughly purge his threshing-floor, and shall gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
As the testimony given by the prophet John the Baptist, that whose ministry preceded JESUS CHRIST, the Sun of God, who come to clean our sins through your expiatory death, as well as to baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
The atonement done through the cross in Calvary with the spilled blood solves the problem of our conscience to God. Therefore, with our purified conscience, we have peace with God, and we can have communion with Him. Already the fact of terms a life that walks in holily and in the power of God it will be solved by the provision of God through the baptism with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
Who is that baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire?
He is own Jesus Christ, according to the testimony of your precursor, John the Baptist.
As we can see in the text to proceed, ours Master and Savior Jesus Christ expressed clearly that panted so that all your followers lived this life of sanctity and of being able to.
Luke 12.49
49I have come to cast a fire on the earth; and what will I if already it has been kindled?
As we see, this is Jesus' will. The fire in the Bible typifies the presence of God, as we can see in several passages, just as in the burning the thorn-bush, where God was revealed the Moses through a tree that burned in fires and he didn't fade (Exodus 3.2-6 - see the text in the end). Therefore, the plan of God is that are always in this earth manifesting the presence of God, your character, your sanctity.
For this to happen, we will need to give these basic steps in the Christian life.
The first step is the conversion, approached in the previous article (you can see the article above “Level the roads of the Lord”), where it was seen that should admit with our mouth that JESUS CHRIST is THE SUN OF GOD, the MASTER of your life - giving everything to HIM, breaking up with whole the sin, darkness and agreements with the devil, asking for forgiveness to God and that Jesus' precious blood covers all our sins. We cannot also forget to forgive to all that sinned against us, because if this is not made our sins of all our heart they are not also forgiven by God (Mathew 6.14 and 15 - see the text in the end). Continues applying Jesus' blood daily about your life in prayer, don't leave that nothing blemishes or block your communion with God that is your great treasure in the earth.
The second I pass after the conversion it is to receive this larger level of life with God through the baptism with the Holy Spirit . In the moment of the conversion we already received in our heart JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit is already present, however the baptism with the Holy Spirit implicates in a larger level of Your Presence, in a to overflow of God, that should be looked for by all those that want live in the fullness of the will of God - a celestial life in the earth. As we see in Acts 8.14-17 (see the text in the end), Peter and John went down Samaria, where many had already had faith in JESUS CHRIST and been baptized in the waters, however they had not been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Then the apostles imposed the hands and they received Holy Spirit baptism.
The third step is: after receiving this fullness of God, live this fullness in the presence of God and in the men's presence. Always protect your life in the Word of God, in her you find the answers the daily situations of your life, the beginnings of God that govern your life, your relationship with God (for instance: Psalms), with the men (former.: Proverbs), your intimacy with God (Gospel of John), etc. - studies the Word of God and place in practice in your life, then you will be a strong Christian, a Christian in the Rock, that is JESUS CHRIST.
Escape from all sin types or of appearance of him, reviewed of GOD, of Your Power every day, of Your Armor according to Ephesians 6.10-18 (see the text in the end), and fight the good battle, being more-that-winner with CHRIST. Look for, through the prayer, always more of GOD, that He as Father, will have the solutions for your difficulties and the good treasure to spill about your life.
In the end of all the things, with JESUS CHRIST'S turn or with the departure of this earth, you will have the continuity of this communion with GOD, through JESUS CHRIST, in the eternal home, in the sky, where won't have sin plus, nor injustice, nor demons, nor disease, nor death - where CHRIST will be everything and it will be in all. HE will have a prize for you, called “reward” in the Bible, as you can see in:
Rev. 22.12-14
12Behold, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to every one as his work shall be.
13*I* [am] the Alpha and the Omega, [the] first and [the] last, the beginning and the end.
14Blessed [are] they that wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and that they should go in by the gates into the city.
Texts:
Exodus 3.2-6
2And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a thorn-bush: and he looked, and behold, the thorn-bush burned with fire, and the thorn-bush was not being consumed.
3And Moses said, Let me now turn aside and see this great sight, why the thorn-bush is not burnt.
4And Jehovah saw that he turned aside to see, and God called to him out of the midst of the thorn-bush and said, Moses, Moses! And he said, Here am I.
5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: loose thy sandals from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou stands is holy ground.
6And he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look at God.
Mathew 6.14 –15
14For if ye forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father also will forgive you [yours],
15but if ye do not forgive men their offences, neither will your Father forgive your offences.
Acts 8.14-17
14And the apostles who were in Jerusalem, having heard that Samaria had received the word of God, sent to them Peter and John;
15who, having come down, prayed for them that they might receive [the] Holy Spirit;
16for he was not yet fallen upon any of them, only they were baptized to the name of the Lord Jesus.
17Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received [the] Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 6.10-18
10For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.
11Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
12because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.
13For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:
16besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.
17Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;
18praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
